How to implement process art into your preschool classroom.

Have you searched Pinterest for an art project for your classroom and seen these curated art projects of a ladybug (or something similar) that clearly looks like an adult helped the student make it? Have you thought “Wait, aren’t the kids suppose to be doing the art?” - Then you’re in the right place! Let’s make the move toward more child-led, process focused art projects in our preschool classrooms.

What is this mini-course?

This course is all about process art and getting more of it into your preschool classroom. It’s approachable, relatable and engaging. Packed with helpful information, tools and strategies but it’s also like you’re having a conversation with a friend over coffee (a friend who is very passionate about process art in the preschool classroom).

Who is this mini-course for?

Anyone who has kids in their lives and wants more developmentally appropriate art opportunities! It’s geared toward preschool teachers but it’s also great for parents, nannies or grandparents. If you feel overwhelmed with how to do more art in your home this course is a great place to start!

What will I find in this mini-course?

This course is organized into 3 modules with multiple lessons under each module. Topics include an introduction to process art, benefits of process art, transitioning from teacher-directed to child-led, the set up, the role of the teacher, implementing process art, materials, tip & tricks and example art projects. Each section has a video to go with it along with bullet points and LOTS of pictures of process art projects from our preschool classroom.
